Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used alone or given together with other pain medicines to relieve moderate to severe pain. It is used to relieve the symptoms of arthritis (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis), such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain.
